I need to prove a point to some social workers who are saying I’m too young to stay at home by myself when my mom goes to work in the evening.

when I was in my early teens and my parents shift patterns fell on the same night, my younger brother and i would have to spend the entire night alone, from 7pm til 8am. we turned out just fine.

i stayed home alone by the time i was 10/11 for the entire day in the summers while my parents were at work.
